01Who we are

This website, getveridem.com, is run by Veridem Holdings Inc., a Delaware C-Corporation. You can reach us at hello@getveridem.com. This policy covers this website only.

02What we collect and why

This website has no accounts, no sign-up forms and no newsletter form. We do not ask for your name or email here. What does pass through the site:

• Certificate lookups. When you use Verify, the certificate ID you type (or the private token in a certificate's QR link) is sent to the Veridem Registry to check it. We use it only to answer that lookup. The Registry's hosting provider may keep standard technical request logs, such as time and IP address, for security and operation.
• Visit statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. See "Analytics" below.
• Read-aloud audio. When you press a "Listen" button, the site's own written text for that section is turned into speech. Nothing you type is sent. See "Third-party services."
• Email. If you write to us, we receive whatever you choose to include, and use it to reply.
• Technical logs. Like any website, our hosting provider processes standard request information (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to deliver pages and keep the site secure, and error details if a page fails to load.

03Analytics and cookies

Cloudflare Web Analytics tells us how many people visit and which pages they view. It does not use cookies or local storage to track you, and Cloudflare states it does not build profiles of visitors or follow you across other websites. It records things like the page address, the site that sent you, browser and device type, country and page-load speed.

This public website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie this site uses belongs to a private, password-protected staff page and is set only when a staff member signs in to it.

04Third-party services

• Cloudflare — visit statistics and delivery of the site.
• The Veridem Registry database host — answers certificate lookups.
• ElevenLabs — turns the site's own section text into spoken audio for the "Listen" buttons. The finished audio file is saved in our private storage so the same text is not sent again. No visitor information is sent with it. If audio is unavailable, your own browser's built-in voice reads the text instead, on your device.
• Our website host — serves the pages, images and video. Fonts are served from our own site, not from an outside font service.

05How long data is kept

We do not keep a list of who looked up which certificate. Visit statistics are kept in summary form by Cloudflare under its own retention rules. Read-aloud audio files contain only our own site text and are kept until we replace them. Emails you send are kept as long as needed to help you, unless you ask us to delete them.

Registry certificate records themselves are kept permanently. That is the purpose of the Registry. Replaced records are marked as superseded rather than deleted.

06The public nature of the Registry

The Registry is public by design. Anyone who has a certificate ID can confirm that the certificate is genuine, which tool issued it, when it was issued and whether it is active. The full record, including the creator's name and the work title, only unlocks with that certificate's private token or QR code, which the certificate holder controls. If you share your QR code or token, anyone you share it with can see the full record.

07Our tools have their own policies

Stem:Ample (stemample.com), Re:Writ (rewrit.io), Compose:EP (composeep.com) and MHAIX (mhaix.com) each have their own privacy policy on their own site, which covers accounts and any work you create there.

08Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

09Access and deletion requests

You can ask what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@getveridem.com. We may need to confirm who you are before acting. Registered certificate records are permanent, but we will explain what can be changed for your request.

10Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top.
